Pet Portal isn’t only caregiver software. Families who book with an independent sitter or walker on Pet Portal get the same class of experience the big marketplace apps promise — live GPS during walks, photo and video updates, downloadable Report Cards with the full route, direct messaging, and clear invoices — without paying an extra booking fee on top of your caregiver’s rate.

Parents also get a Pet Journal to log diet, health, and activity between visits; linked caregivers can read it before they arrive. That’s something most marketplace apps don’t offer families at all — and Pet Portal is free for pet parents. No subscription, no platform cut on care. We’re actively shipping more family-facing tools on the same roadmap as caregiver features, all included at no extra cost when you work with a Pet Portal professional.

Here’s what that actually looks like on the two biggest platforms in this industry: Rover takes 20% of every booking from sitters and walkers (25% in California, and for RoverGO), then adds an 11% booking fee on top of what pet parents pay — collecting from both sides of the same transaction. Wag takes an even larger cut, around 40% of every booking. On a $50 walk, that’s the difference between keeping $40 and keeping $30, before a client ever tips.

We don’t think the caregiver who shows up every day, builds the relationship, and does the actual work should be the one absorbing that. So we didn’t build a marketplace. We built software.

Caregivers start on Free (1 client, locked forever), then Solo Pro at $25/month for unlimited clients — or Teams at $45/month flat when you need a management dashboard for your whole crew, with no extra staffing fees. Every dollar a pet parent pays you for a walk, sitting, boarding, or grooming session goes to you, routed directly through Stripe Connect. We’re not in the middle of that transaction, and we don’t take a cut of it. You’re not paying us a percentage of your best month or your busiest client.
